Job description

We are seeking a Biospecimen Operations Associate Coordinator to provide operational oversight of biospecimens for clinical trials in clinical pharmacology and inflammation/immunology including all biospecimen chain-of-custody tasks. The individual in this role will interact with external clients and collaborate with Alpine’s cross-functional team members to ensure sample management integrity and tracking.

Duties and responsibilities

•Oversee biospecimen chain-of-custody for incoming shipments from external vendors following Good Clinical and Laboratory Practices (GCLP)

•Reconcile biospecimens received with accompanying shipping manifest

•Inventory and enter biospecimens in on-site database and place in storage in appropriate locations (freezer or liquid nitrogen)

•Prepare biospecimens for shipment to third party vendors

•Identify discrepancies between databases, shipping manifests, and biospecimens

•Follow up and resolve discrepancies through communication with study team, clinical sites, or CROs/vendors within specified timeframes

•Generate regular biospecimen inventory reports from central and bioanalytical labs and on-site database

•Support biospecimen inventory data visualization maintenance

•Provide regular reports and summaries of biospecimen tracking activity

•Liaise cross-functionally to solve workflow-related problems

•Participate and provide updates as needed for Translational Medicine and Clinical Operations in study management and departmental meetings

•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

•Education: Degree in a related field or equivalent experience

•Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

•Ability to follow Good Clinical and Laboratory Practices

•Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Self-determined schedule
