J. David Tax Law is seeking a Tax Attorney to be part of our rapidly growing practice. We are a traditional tax firm with contemporary management methodologies and practices. Position duties include:
- Represent clients to the best possible case resolutions with the IRS and other tax agencies.
- Performing Balance and Compliance Checks with the IRS and other tax agencies.
- Prepare and review financial documents to determine the best resolution, such as Offer in Compromise, Installment Agreements, Currently Non-Collectible and Penalty Abatement for IRS and State tax agencies.
- Communicate with all Federal and State tax agencies to obtain the best resolution for clients; release wage/bank levies; secure holds and meet deadlines.
- Pull Wage and Income Transcripts
- Manage a revolving caseload of clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bar licensed Attorney in good standing
- Spanish/English Billingualist is preferred.
- 1+ Years of Tax Resolution or Tax Controversy experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-sufficient and well organized with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work independently and also within a team. Attention to detail, patience, and the ability to prioritize a must.
- Willingness to take ownership of your job responsibilities, you are accountable for your caseload.
Hours of work: 9 am to 6 pm Monday thru Friday. Salary will be based on experience with room for advancement in salary and responsibilities. There are also monthly incentives that increase the average attorney's salary by $10,300 per year above their base salary.
