General Summary:
This role will be directly responsible for trade promotion accounting tasks and processes, while being cross-trained in tasks and processes not directly responsible for. The scope of this roles covers trade for
the enterprise (Meals & Beverages and Snacks). A successful candidate will be highly motivated to learn and to teach others. Candidate must be well organized and flexible.

  • A continuous improvement mindset (identifying opportunities, proposing solutions and executing corrections)

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and/or review monthly journal entries for accuracy and in a timely manner
  • Prepare and/or review account reconciliations for completeness, accuracy, and quality
  • Periodically test assumptions used in the trade accounting process
  • Documentation of controls in the commercial spend process
  • Act as a subject matter expert and power user on the trade management tool, e4
  • Presentations on commercial spend balance sheet accounts on a quarterly basis to Finance leadership and the VP – Corporate Controller
  • Assist with internal and external audits through coordination of requests and implementation of followup actions
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the team and trade space and execute change
  • Create relevant end-to-end process flows and/or desk-top procedures
  • Provide subject matter expertise on trade accounting, timing of expense recognition, and P&L geography
  • Participate in strategic efforts for continuous improvement, standardization of processes and deliverables, and efficiency projects
  • Be a strong value-added business partner to the Corporate Controllers group, the Division Finance teams, and the functional counterparts

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience required; relevant industry experience preferred
  • CPA certification strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC requirements required
  • Highly motivated and proactive in problem solving required
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines and business demands preferred
  • Experience with SAP and/or Blackline a plus
  • Travel up to 10% due to training and/or project work

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$72,900.00 - $131,100.00
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
