Garden Services Assistant
O ur Garden Services division is uniquely positioned to help clients maintain the original vision for their garden
while gracefully adapting to weather and time. As the Garden Services Assistant, you will work with the Garden
Services Manager and the Construction Supervisor to support the horticultural requirements of new and installed
g ardens. Responsibilities include:
- Assess the health of plants. Identify pests and diseases and recommend treatments.
- Program irrigation controllers and troubleshoot the system.
- E xhibit a curiosity to expand horticultural knowledge to support cultural and aesthetic project goals.
- Coordinate with billing to accurately capture plant and supply costs.
- M anage greenhouse inventory and assist with long term projects.
- Assist in setting on-site priorities and tasks for the garden services crews.
- Represent WCDG interests; uphold our professional reputation.
Education Requirements
While a bachelor’s degree is preferred, candidates with three or more years of relevant horticulture or nursery
experience will be considered. A high school diploma is required.
Required Skills
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required with Spanish language skills a plus. Must have a
working knowledge of Word Excel or Google Sheets.
