Position Summary:

We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee our federal contract based out of New York, NY, and to support a variety of contract-related activities. This position will report directly to the Contract Program Manager.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Monitor, coach, and guide employees on a variety of issues.
  • Engage in the recruiting and hiring efforts to support the contract.
  • Conduct check-ins and check-outs with all staff daily.
  • Responsible for coordinating, directing, and planning all contracted services.
  • Execute decisions regarding personnel, cost, and quality of service within each functional area.
  • Assist in process development or improvement to ensure contract deliverables are met.
  • Assist the program manager in establishing, updating, coordinating, and implementing operating procedures, processes, and systems.
  • Support the retention of existing business, while identifying and leading growth opportunities.
  • Collect data, monitor contract performance, and develop plans to address gaps and areas of improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our federal customers and MIRACORP employees.
  • Collaborate with Government Points of Contact to ensure their needs are met.
  • Handle requests from the Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer Representative.
  • Acts on behalf of the contractor in the program managers absence, making executive decisions as needed.

Your Education & Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience, managing a team of similar size and complexity.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to handle changing and competing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise proper judgement in a variety of situations.
