A 35+ bed Medical facility outside of Prairie City, Oregon is looking to bring on a Director Infection Control to join the team. This hospital also contains a Level IV Trauma Center with 60+ employees at this time.
There is much responsibility for the Manager of Laboratory while on site. With that being said, 2+ years of experience in a Medical Lab as well as a minimum of 1 year in management or multiple years in a Supervisory role is very important. If you do not hold this experience but believe you have a background and certifications that match the needs, you are still encouraged to apply. Manager is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the department as well as staffing needs to choose competent and compliant staff members to perform everyday procedures.
Other responsibilities of Manager of Laboratory may include;
- Proper examination, and analysis in making a diagnosis
- Assume responsibilities for Director when they are gone
- Ongoing monitoring of each test used in Lab
- Preparing budgets, schedules, and reports as needed
- Record and report test results effectively, and efficiently
