Description
Simpson College seeks qualified candidates for a Full Time Assistant Esports Director. This position reports directly to the Esports Director and will assist in the maintenance of the esports arena and production portion of Simpson's esport program. The start date for this position is June 1, 2023.
Principal Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of qualified student
- Coach and mentor student participants, including monitoring academic progress and program eligibility.
- Cultivate positive relationships with students and their families.
- Work with the program director on stream asset creation and stream maintenance.
- Assist with fundraising support for program needs.
Qualifications
- BA with knowledge of the rules and intricacies of esports.
- The ability to teach, analyze, and identify the strengths and weaknesses of players in Smash Brothers Ultimate, Rocket League, or Valorant.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent computer, written and oral communication skills.
- Prior coaching experience preferred
- Understanding of OBS or software equivalent.
- Strong graphic design concept understanding and Adobe Suite or software equivalent knowledge.
