Kidsborough is excited to announce the opening of littleborough; a childcare center working with infants, toddlers and preschoolers in a state-of-the art space. Our pilot program in Hopkinton, MA will ideally be the first of many. We are eager to bring on creative, dynamic and caring individuals to help build a supportive environment. As the Assistant Director, you will be working closely with the Director to oversee littleborough and to ensure that our philosophies are being carried out on a daily basis.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and/or Master’s degree preferred

College degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field

Minimum 2+ years of administrative/managerial experience in a facility for early childhood care

Must meet EEC qualifications per state regulations for Assistant Director

Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license

Computer proficiency. Experience with childcare software is a plus.

Flexibility within hours of operation and job assignments

Exceptional communication skills

Reliable, passionate and motivated to provide the highest quality care

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe, healthy and welcoming environment for children; providing direct supervision when in ratio.
  • Collaborate with the director and staff to create and implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that is in support of play-based learning.
  • Assist the director in the overall management of littleborough; ensuring that program philosophies are present.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate with children, parents and staff while fostering an overall positive and respectful environment.
  • Assist the director in ??overseeing the daily workflow, scheduling, and logistical operations of the program.
  • Assist with hiring, training and evaluating center staff.
  • Work to create and implement center policies; maintaining state and federal requirements amongst staff and classrooms.
  • Act as a resource for families: answering questions, giving tours and working as a team to resolve any concerns that may arise.
  • Demonstrate professionalism at all times including during stressful situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
