One of the largest producers of green energy is looking for Assistant Controller in San Diego, CA. The Assistant Controller will support company leadership with strategic planning and managing the company’s accounting and financial operations. This includes transaction processing; supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting; partnering with other functional areas; assisting in selecting financial and administrative software as required.

Responsibilities
- Building the team, systems, and processes required to set company up for success as it moves through a period of rapid growth
- Lead and develop the Controllership function to enable the growth of the business.
- Drive acceleration of the current GL close process by identifying and leading the implementation of automation and streamlining of the close processes
- Ensure consolidated financial statements are consistent with GAAP, including newly issued and emerging pronouncements
- Manage revenue, inventory costing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax, GAAP compliance, management of external audits, internal controls, and treasury
- Interact with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges, drive operational improvement, and enhance financial processes
- BA Degree in accounting or related field
- CPA (does not need to be active and it can be from any state)
- Big 4/some public accounting experience
- 10+ years of general accounting
- 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Experience at a high revenue company, 200 million plus
