Pharmacy Technician

The Pharmacy Technician compounds/manufactures sterile, injectable product following Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). The technician will be hands on with manufacturing and be trained up to work under ISO7 and ISO5 areas with a variety of manufacturing production equipment and technologies. This includes assisting in the cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of the cleanroom environment and manufacturing equipment. Completes product visual inspection, labeling, and packaging.

Responsibilities

• Compound/manufacture daily without fingertip growth during manual and semi-automated compounding/manufacturing operations
• Perform cleaning and disinfection of the cleanroom areas and equipment thoroughly and according to policy without viable particle growth
• Pass Aseptic Gowning Qualification in triplicate and ability to work in full PPE sterile garb for extended periods of time
• Perform equipment calibration checks (i.e., analytical balance, pH meter, etc.) and troubleshoot equipment as needed
• Pass inspector qualification in triplicate for visual inspection of injectables
• Must have close visual acuity to notice errors and/or defects and attention to detail
• Manual dexterity and the ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy are required
• Accurately complete batch record documentation, all appropriate logbook entries, and GMP documentation
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency required
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment in a cleanroom for extended periods of time
• (20/20) vision with corrective prescription
• 1 year preferred previous experience in a hospital IV room, manufacturing environment or performing sterile compounding/processing and filling
• Mechanical aptitude required
