Job Overview:
The Area Implementation Manager’s primary duties are to build broad and successful usage of Gizmos, Reflex, Frax, and Science4Us by managing and implementing high quality ExploreLearning product training and professional development (PD) across the assigned area. The Professional Development Area Implementation Manager is also responsible for supporting sales efforts. As a result, the position will contribute to measurably improved classroom instructional practices, to effect utilization of ExploreLearning products, and to the generation of significant revenue for ExploreLearning.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop positive working relationships with implementation site contacts
  • Work with implementation site contacts to develop PD plans designed to effectively deliver initial and ongoing training and support
  • Manage PD events within assigned region including: evaluation of event needs, identifying a qualified instructor, and after-event follow-up with site contact
  • Collaborate with the PD Manager to set, document, analyze, and manage PD activities towards measurable performance metrics as needed
  • Partner with the sales team to plan and support implementations
  • Support clients in assigned area through mailings, emails, webinars
  • Analyze usage reports in coordination with the sales team for client districts within assigned region to identify those needing additional support
  • Lead a cross-functional area team to support implementations and schedule PD.
  • Collaborate with the Instructor Manager to recruit and train qualified Certified Instructors (CIs), as needed
  • Develop positive working relationships with CIs through ongoing observation and evaluation
  • Collaborate with the Director of PD to review and revise, as necessary, current PD offerings
  • Confer with the Director of PD to create, as necessary, new PD offerings
  • Support certified instructors in any workshop modifications that may be necessary
  • Represent ExploreLearning in the field and through telecommunications and e-learning while fulfilling PD assignments
  • Deliver product PD across ExploreLearning’s national network, as assigned
  • Provide documentation of pre-event, on-site, and post-event activities related to professional development activities
  • Other PD tasks, as assigned
  • Represent ExploreLearning and present awareness sessions at pre-sales events and professional conferences
  • Persuasively interact with school/district decision makers in pre-sale discussions
Job Requirements:
  • Degree in math or science or math/science/elementary education
  • Teacher license in elementary, math, or science.
  • 2-3 years of management or coordinator experience
  • Successful experience in recruiting, training, and managing staff and contract trainers and professional developers
  • Proven ability to work with small, flexible, cross-functional teams to set measurable goals and meet or exceed them.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Ability to act independently and responsibly
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • 2-3 years of classroom experience as a teacher of mathematics and/or science
  • Experience delivering PD for teachers, particularly in mathematics and science
  • Knowledge of educational research pertaining to instruction and PD in mathematics and science
  • Skilled use of technology in teaching practice, for training events, and for personal use
  • Ability to travel (up to 75%) independently to complete assignments
  • Secondary education science and/or math professional developer skills
  • Secondary math and/or science teaching skills
  • Management or coordinating skills
Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a math or science discipline or math, science or elementary education.
  • Teacher license in elementary or secondary math or science
  • Advanced degree in Curriculum and Instruction, School Leadership, or Math or Science Instruction
  • 5 -7 years' experience as a professional development manager for a math and/or science K-12 program
  • 5 - 7 years delivering PD for secondary teachers of mathematics and/or science
  • 5 - 7 years of classroom experience as a teacher of secondary mathematics and/or science
  • 2 - 3 years of Gizmo implementation experience as a mathematics and/or science classroom teacher
  • Proven effectiveness in interacting with school district decision makers
  • Mastery of the integration of technology in teaching practice, professional presentations, and for personal use
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
  • Previous experience as a telecommuter
