The Opportunity:

Perkins Eastman has an immediate need for Architectural Designer I for our Raleigh office. We are seeking dedicated, passionate team members with strong individual design and problem-solving skills for immediate opportunities as an Architectural Designer. This position requires the candidates to support project team leaders and produce content suitable for the Perkins Eastman team and clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reporting to project leadership, the Architectural Designer will be responsible for assisting in all phases of planning and design utilizing 3D modeling and graphic visualization.
• Perform design computations, compile data, and other architectural assignments.
• Assist with preparation of construction documents and construction detailing.
• Review building codes for code compliance.
• Assist in construction administration phase.
• Prepare finish material sample boards, physical models and graphic presentations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture.
• Strong communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time.
• Proficiency with Revit, SketchUp and rendering and graphics applications. Rhino and other modeling and parametric design software is a plus.
• Familiarity and skills in Urban Design are desirable.

Type: Hybrid. 3 days in office 2 days working remotely, flexible days/working hours
