Gerlach Farms Inc. is searching for a highly motivated individual to join our team. We are a family operated, mid sized grain farm in central Iowa. We specialize in seed corn production for Bayer, full service custom farming, and conventional grain farming.Duties for employee would helping with all field activities throughout the season such as performing tillage, tending seed to planters, tending water and chem to sprayers, operating detasseling machine, spraying(if licensed) hauling grain to local elevators, running grain cart or semi in during harvest, NH3 application, and other odds and ends jobs. We run all new model John Deere equipment and Ag Leader displays. Individual should have a strong background in machinery as we perform most repairs and service ourselves. Typical work weeks range from 40-45 hours except during spring and fall where it could be 60+.
CDL is prefered but not a requirement. Must be willing to obtain a CDL if you dont have one.
