Application Support Engineer – Semiconductor

The Opportunity:
Reporting to Application Engineering manager in Semiconductor business group, this position will play an important role in support of field application engineers to carry out customer evaluation activities in semiconductor fabs worldwide. This is a high-impact role that is critical to our goals. The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for the functions that drive revenue growth including, but not limited to, traveling to customer sites to engage in technical discussions and product evaluations. The Application Support Engineer will help to keep account managers and field application engineers informed of new product offerings and new technology developments. The Application Support Engineer will develop meaningful relationships with our field teams to collaborate on joint customer efforts.

- Manage overall customer evaluation program for semiconductor business, including being part of the team that meets with the customers to understand their issues, requirements, and specifications.
- Coordinate with Product Managers and Field Application Engineers on defining the specific objectives and success criteria for product evaluations at customer sites
- Support Field Application Engineers in executing customer evaluations to their successes
- Manage the evaluation process and the demo inventory for semi business, including the hardware being deployed at the customer sites
- Be capable of presenting Picarro system explanations regarding how the components and system work, as well as being able to articulate the benefits and attributes of our Cavity Ring Down Spectroscopy (CRDS) technology
- Coordinate with Product Managers in communicating new product offerings and new technology development to account teams and customers
- Provide relevant application trainings to field application engineers, channel partners and customers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related technical field;
- Experience either working in a Semi fab on the equipment and/or experience with Semi equipment and applications
- Highly articulate with ability to explain technical details in a concise and easy to understand manner
- Ability to work with field account teams, local channel partners and end customers
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
- Must be able to create clear and convincing presentation slides
- Willing to travel to support customer engagements
