Salary Grade: $26.02 – $42.28
Location: Coos Bay/North Bend

This position is a covered position as defined in the Coquille Indian Tribe Chapter 185 Child Protection Ordinance. Candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen and Criminal and Character Background Check.

JOB SUMMARY OF MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Under the direction of the IT Director, the Application Specialist is the subject matter expert responsible for understanding end-user application barriers and providing solutions and support by exploring software opportunities, developing regular trainings, conducting frequent system maintenance and managing licensing for various pieces of software and web-based applications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming O365 concerns and training.

2. Advocate and enable user adoption of Microsoft O365 suite of products and other applications.

3. Subject matter expert for key applications used by the organization (eg. Microsoft 365 products: Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, OneNote, Word, Excel, Onedrive, Power Automate, Power BI, and other Microsoft 365 Applications.)

4. Work with multiple departments to identify opportunities to develop solutions for workflow improvement across the organization.

5. Train and educate users on solution capabilities of 0365 including developing and delivering workshops and training documentation.

6. Advocate and enable user adoption of 0365 services and applications.

7. Provide support to end users by developing regular trainings, conducting frequent system maintenance, and managing user roles and permissions.

8. Deliver high-quality customer service when troubleshooting product-related issues.

9. Monitor product-related cases, coordinate their resolution and action plan, and provide status feedback and insight on product-related case handling.

10. Contribute to assigned projects from inception to completion.

11. Handle administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, and other routine tasks.

12. Handle minor and major software upgrades for applications within job scope.

13. Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests.

14. Manage users, user profiles, roles, permission sets, assignment rules, and license types for applications within job scope.

15. Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems, escalate, and track problems for applications within job scope.

16. Establish, implement, and administer best practices with regards to system maintenance, security, release management, improvements, data integrity, duplicates, and backups for applications within job scope.

17. Maintains proper documentation of processes, policies, application configurations, knowledge base, and related materials.

18. Maintain skillset and knowledge to stay up to date with best practices and technological changes within the industry.

19. Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires the ability to communicate orally, repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers, often requires sitting for extended periods, raising or lowering objects, and requires lifting up to 30 pounds on a regular basis. 10. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as basic arithmetic.

11. Working knowledge of paperless record retention system.

12. Excellent computer literacy, including a strong working knowledge of Office 365

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A. Bachelors’ degree in relevant IT-related field. A combination of formal education, training and related work experience will be considered.

B. 3 years of professional work experience in O365 administration required.

C. 3 years of professional work experience in end-user software support training required.

D. Advanced Microsoft 365 certifications such as Enterprise Administrator Expert preferred.

E. Current and valid Oregon driver’s license in good standing is required with no insurability restrictions from the Tribe’s insurance carrier.
