Project Background Overview:
Provide Content and Configuration support for the EHR and associated clinical information systems to Defense Health Agency (DHA) Health Informatics (HI) organization to include interfacing with Government officials to include program offices both in-agency and inter-agency, other Defense Health Agency, and DoD service entities. The project shall support the management, integration, and stabilization of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) core areas and all Clinical Information Systems in the DHA portfolio. The contractor shall work across clinical domains, internal organizations, governance bodies, federal agencies, and commercial organizations to provide strategic and operational guidance to DHA Health Informatics leadership on how best to increate operational efficiency for information technology and improve patient engagement. The contractor shall also support the Technology Management and Integration Branch under DHA HI in providing change management, knowledge management, working groups support, content development, configuration process support and relationship management with internal and external organizations.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The candidate will provide advisory services focused on business process reengineering (BPR) and process improvement. Our professionals help clients transform their business processes, improve internal controls, improve efficiency of operations, increase transparency and performance management, and to comply with Federal laws and regulations. During your full-time assignment, you will be given the opportunity to support projects address challenges faced the Defense Health Agency’s MHS GENESIS implementation. Responsibilities are as follows:

Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written)
  • Strong organizational skills with a high focus on detail and accuracy
  • Ability to research and analyze, problem solve, and offer insights and recommendations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the client and other team members (Team chemistry is of great importance)
  • Experience preparing short briefing documents (spreadsheets, talking points, process flows, standard operating procedures, PowerPoint slides, etc.)
  • Provide advisory services to clients related to process improvement, strategy planning, and change management
  • Work on client engagements as a part of a delivery team
  • Be detail oriented, flexible, proactive, and multi-task to quickly adapt to changing client priorities and respond to ad hoc requests
  • Balance a variety of assignments and independently manage time and resources to deliver quality work by established deadlines
  • Build client relationships by: 1) exceeding client expectations, 2) anticipate and address client needs by leveraging the firm’s intellectual property and share new material 3) ability to adjust readily to shifting priorities and rapid change in an agile environment
  • Support project management activities, including: routine status reports, quality control, risk analysis and mitigation planning, etc.
  • Plan, facilitate and generate process artifacts from DHA MHS GENESIS process improvement meetings
Education/Training
  • Minimum Years of Experience: Experience of one year is required
  • Minimum Degree: Holds a four-year degree from an accredited college or university
  • Experience analyzing and/or designing business processes and using process mapping software such as Microsoft Visio
  • Certification(s) Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including presentation skills)
  • Creative problem-solving ability and a consultancy mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to present a concept in a way that connects with the audience
  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • US Citizen required
Qualifications – Desired
  • Military Health experience preferred
Office Location and Travel:
  • Perform the primary activity at the DHA Regional Office – DHA HQ, Falls Church, VA. Telework consideration is available as approved by the COR
  • Remote teleworking is currently accepted for this position

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The incumbent is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
