Events Marketing Specialist

The purpose of this Chicago-based role is to serve as Altera's Internal Event Marketing Specialist. You'll create a compelling event experience through planning, management, and execution of internal events – both virtual, hybrid and on-site. Onsite events will be hosted at our Chicago Merchandise Mart offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for owning and overseeing our executive briefing center, the Smart Center, managing all logistic, production and onsite support for client, prospect, and internal events.
  • Responsible for managing and executing bi-monthly company updates webinar, bi-monthly marketing all-hands webinar, and quarterly marketing meetings.
  • Responsible for working closely and cross collaboratively with all marketing functions and cross departmental engagement for all internal event (Virtual, Hybrid and In-Person) components. Work directly with: Key Executives, Sales, SMEs and other key stakeholders confirming their attendance and participation for internal events.
  • Plan and facilitate project plans to drive all event logistic components, ensuring timelines for all components are met (i.e.: create and monitor of registration sites, mobile app, event space, food and beverage, lodging, transportation, badges, signage, giveaways, shipping event materials, AV, electric, internet, staff registration, post event reporting, etc.). Provide onsite support as needed.
  • Review and respond to event inquiries in the SMARTCenter and event inbox and update calendar to reflect all event dates.
  • Help research and partner with organizations to infuse GiveBack efforts and partner marketing offers in every event we execute. Partner with internal employee enrichment groups to contribute to employee satisfaction.

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

  • Experience in marketing, events, or administrative-related background
  • Bachelor's degree; marketing degree preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Knowledge of Cvent tool is preferred

Working arrangements:

  • This is a full-time position
  • Hybrid role - candidates must live in the Chicago area. This associate will travel (drive from home office) to the Chicago office to support meetings as they are scheduled (typically 3-4 times per month)
