Job Responsibilities

GENERAL

· Previous experience in Insurance industry

· Create and process replacement bonds

· Assist agents with all inquiries and requests regarding their agency

· Troubleshoot agent problems and/or special requests

· Process inventory/supply requests for agents

· Create and log Qualifying Powers of Attorney – for required states

· Process agent address/telephone number changes and update database

· Field department questions and concerns

· Field Licensing, Agent Services and new Contract Agent calls

· Responsible for all correspondence to and from agents

· Web support for our agents on eservices offered, including one on one VP and Eservices trainings

· Performs other related duties as assigned by department Manager

TRANSFER BONDS

· Coordination of nationwide bond postings for bail bond agents in a timely manner (i.e. quotes, coverage verification, document review, information verification, status checks)

· Handling of incoming/outgoing calls to agents, outside sureties and/or indemnitors

· Data entry of transfer bond transactions and/or inquiries in a timely manner

· Database update and maintenance with status notes as well as document uploads (stubs and CDs)

· Communication with team members as to situations occurring

· Prepare correspondence in all forms to agents regarding transfer bond transactions

· Follow-up with agents on collateral taken

COLLATERAL

· Receive and process collateral received from all states on bonds & contracts executed

· Create/maintain files for cash and/or property collateral received (nationwide)

· Data entry of all collateral received/returned

· Correspond with County Recorder offices, agents, indemnitors, title/escrow companies and/or attorneys via verbal/written communication

· Recording of liens taken as property collateral

· Process requests for collateral return

· Prepare reconveyances/satisfactions on property collateral received

· Prepare substitution of trustee and subordinations

· Verification of request for indemnitors and/or payees

· Check request submissions for cash collateral received

CONTRACTS & LICENSING

· Assist Account Managers in new agent enrollment & clerical support

· New agent enrollment process

· Assist agents in nationwide licensing process

· Process all contracts/paperwork in conjunction with signing up new direct agents

· Create surety bonds for new licensing and verify payment of premium

· Process electronic/paper appointments/termination of agents

· Process annual licensing/appointment renewals of agents

· Data entry of all agent appointments/terminations

Job Requirements

· A general working knowledge of customer service

· A general working knowledge of accounting principles

· Well versed in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Must be fluent in English

· Detail orientated

· Must possess the ability to problem solve

· Confidentiality and professionalism a must

· Regular attendance

· Potential for participation in On-Call Team with rotating on-call shift

· Bi-lingual Spanish speaking a plus

· Notary a plus

Education Requirements:

· AA or BS Degree required

· At least three years previous customer service experience

· Previous experience within the insurance industry desired, but not required

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

· Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time

· The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access office equipment

· Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, computer printer, etc

· Occasional positioning self to maintain computer including under desk, floor, etc

· The person in this position regularly communicates with agents and home office; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
