We are looking for someone to help provide afternoon support at our center . Candidate will be responsible for helping fill in the classroom for teacher lunch breaks and helping in a classroom in the afternoon. Hours are from 12-6:30. Must be able to pass NC background check and have valid drivers license.

Open Arms Christian Child Development Center, a 5-star childcare facility in Clayton has excellent job opportunities for Teachers and Teacher Assistants (available immediately). We offer full time year-round programs for children from 6 weeks old through 12 years old as well as a half-day Pre-K program.

Full Time opportunities available for both Lead Teachers and Teacher Assistants. Experience is a plus, but is not required, as we will provide the on-the-job training. Salary based on experience, and education. Benefits, and PTO available for full time employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observes all rules and regulations of Open Arms, and the local, state, and national agencies pertaining to the health & wellness, safety, and care of children.
• Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
• Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to learn and grow.
• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
• Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
• Assist as needed in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines is necessary.
• Provide a safe and loving environment for the children in their care, feeding children, changing diapers (depending on classroom ages), cleaning the room, and more.

We are looking for hard working, motivated, team players who can communicate appropriately in all situations. This includes communicating with parents, children, and coworkers. A servant heart and a love for children is required!

• EDU 119 certificate? (Preferred)
