Avery's House is a substance abuse & mental health treatment provider for adolescents, currently seeking a motivated, organized, and passionate licensed therapist to join our growing team. Our ideal individual will be instrumental in providing quality, evidenced-based treatment to our clients. Experience working with adolescents is preferred, and any additional experience with mental health and substance abuse. We are looking for a therapist to work Tuesday through Saturday with a case load of less than 10. We offer supervision and utilize trauma informed care practices.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- This position is responsible for ensuring quality therapeutic care to the clients while adhering to the federal and state licensing statures and Joint Commission Accreditation Standards.

- This position is responsible for establishing and monitoring treatment plans. This position ensures that each client served by the agency will receive quality therapeutic care while adhering to the Joint Commission Accreditation Standards and federal and state licensing. This position will be responsible for leading and creating an aftercare curriculum to continue to engage clients and facilitate growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Individual Therapy
  • Group Therapy
  • Trauma Therapy
  • Aftercare planning
  • Relapse prevention
  • Insurance utilization review documentation
  • Always maintain client confidentiality
  • Provides clinical operations support to administrative office staff on clinical or programmatic issues.
  • Establishes and maintains (in conjunction with the clinical director), the program curriculum for the outpatient programs.
  • Follows and enforces all the agency Policies and Procedures as outlined in the agency’s various policy documents.
  • Participates in team meetings.
  • Develop and monitor key outcome measures to evaluate treatment.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience is preferred, however new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum of a master’s degree in counseling or a related field.
  • Current active license (AZBBHE) in the state of Arizona or transferable.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, establishing, and maintaining effective working relationships, gaining cooperation among competing interest groups, and resolving conflicts.
  • Ability to plan and organize the work of others, delegate and manage the projects and deadlines of him/herself and others.
  • Ability to maintain professional standards and demeanor, including the confidentiality of employee and client data and other sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated competence with, and continued commitment to respect for cultural differences and diversity.
  • Makes clinical decisions with the clients’ and agency employees’ well-being and best interests in mind.
  • Ability to pass background checks required by Avery's House.
  • Fingerprint Clearance card.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
