Active Home Care Services, a home care agency located in Rockville, Maryland, is looking for an Admissions Specialist with insurance verification and invoicing experience.

JOB DUTIES:

• Generate referrals and carry them through the entire admissions process. Leads from home health by building relationships with hospitals, SNFs, physicians, independent and assisted living facilities and other community resources.
• Conduct market analyses; develop sales strategy and goals in collaboration with senior leaders.
• Conduct marketing and sales calls; evaluate the results and effectiveness of sales activity.
• Support business development activities and help establish strong relationships with new and existing referral sources and accounts.
• Verify insurance and billing codes
• Develop marketing strategies that will assist the organization to reach target goals set by the leadership for growth in the department and within the market.
• Participates in continuous growth events for personal development or marketing trends.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Verifiable working experience with Maryland Support Planners, Medicaid and health insurance verification approval
• Comprehension of medical terminology
• Experience working with Case managers, Social workers, Support planners, Discharge planners (bonus)
• As a liaison with the community, excels and models professional and customer-service-oriented values, representing the mission and vision of AHCS.
• Proven ability to develop and implement a sales and marketing plan.
• At least one year of recent marketing/billing experience in home health or a similar industry.
• Excellent planning, organization, and presentation skills are critical.
• Outstanding customer service, verbal, and written skills are required.
• Knowledge and ability to work with various technologies to access an array of markets
• Able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $41,600.00 per year
