Director of Admissions

Gold Crest Care Center, located in the Pelham Gardens area of the Bronx, NY is actively seeking a full-time Admissions Director for our Skilled Nursing Facility.

Duties:

• Completes the admission process in accordance with facilities policies and procedures
• Coordinating the resident referral and approval process in an efficient manner
• Establishing & maintaining relationships with local hospitals, physicians & community organizations for the purpose of generating consistent admissions to the facility
• Maintain knowledge of regulations governing Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care reimbursement processes
• Maintains Daily Census and general records
• Updates all admission materials and forms on an ongoing basis
• Support the facility's PR to generate a positive image & encourage word-of-mouth referral
• Communicate special needs of new admissions to staff to ensure a smooth transition
• Provide appointments for facility presentations and on-site tours

Requirements:

• Prior experience as post-acute and long-term care
• Be self-driven with excellent internal sales/marketing skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills; possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, and visitors
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, typing, medical terminology knowledge and data entry required
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Ability to implement the process to achieve desired outcomes
• Possess communication, time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills
