SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $54,602.64 to $88,562.53 for Schedule A, and $54,602.64 to $84,134.41 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2b (Operations Division Manager) or other supervisory personnel, the Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren Vicinage is seeking a professional who is a highly motivated self-starter. The selected individual must possess administrative and leadership skills, excellent writing and verbal communication skills, have a high attention to detail, be extremely well organized and customer service oriented and have the ability to multitask. The selected individual will be responsible for acting as a lead team member to provide support to management in multiple areas of the Operations Division, including but not limited to, our Continuity of Operations Plan, emergency evacuation plans, security related incidents, project management, renovations, space planning, overseeing health and safety audits, coordinating staff relocations, and providing appropriate response to remedy complaints and/or referring to appropriate entity for resolution. The selected individual will be responsible for communicating and establishing working relationships with state agencies, Judges, Sheriff’s office, management, and outside vendors and agencies; providing logistical coordination and support for jury trials and special court events; maintaining and creating standard operating procedures, conducting quantitative or qualitative research, preparing reports and proposals; maintaining our divisional SharePoint site, coordinating transcripts/audio requests, coordinating interpreting services and providing training for Vicinage staff as needed. The selected individual will be responsible for providing guidance to staff on technical matters, coordinating work among team members, analyzing work processes/methods, establishing workflow systems/procedures, evaluating program/unit/team performance, giving advice/assisting staff with work in progress, and performing other operational and administrative duties as assigned.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Publisher and Visio is helpful; experience with CAD helpful. Performs other Operations related duties as required.


REMOTE WORK
: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in purchasing, facilities management, operations management, records retention, transcript services, jury management, statistical reporting, investigations and/or library administration.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of experience. A law degree may be substituted for two years of experience.

Supplemental Information

Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.

Residency Law: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
