Summary

As one of the four members of the branch leadership team, the Administrative Manager oversees all administrative functions, including customer service, inventory control, month-end reporting, Human Resources, A/R, and A/P. Reporting to the plant’s General Manager, this position also assists with the “Best Place to Work” customer service-focused culture and creation and implementation of strategic and tactical objectives, as necessary, for our Seattle, WA plant to achieve its goals.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):

Accounting & Inventory

  • Process A/P and A/R daily along with plant level credit functions
  • Produce and reconcile monthly financial reports including petty cash, accruals, Book to System reconciliation, and inventory receiving logs
  • Control inventory through receipt, payment, and invoicing of all goods sold and purchased
  • Identify and maintain proper accounting controls at the plant

Leadership – Customer Service & Sales

  • Recruit, interview, train, support, and develop office staff, including the Customer Service team
  • Oversee order entry process to ensure customer orders are accurately entered and processed in a timely manner and facilitate communication of orders/customer needs between all plant and Metal Sales personnel
  • Research and resolve customer service matters related to all aspect of service including order accuracy, material quality, damages, and delivery
  • Coordinate claims process between customers, Sales, Purchasing, and vendors in relation to warranties and product failure

Human Resources

  • Function as plant HR representative, working closely with Corporate HR, to ensure proper processing of all employment and payroll related activities
  • Field general HR questions, such as benefits, leave, payroll, wellness, etc.
  • Serve as the local/state HR law and regulation expert, partnering with Corporate HR as appropriate
  • Properly onboard all new employees, ensuring compliance along with a welcoming new hire experience
  • Administer annual benefit enrollment, wellness events, performance reviews, and other HR tasks and initiatives
  • Conduct exit interviews and complete separation process for departing employees.

Job Requirements:

The most qualified candidates will have:

  • 4 years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • 2 years of management/supervisor experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of HR principles and 1 year practical experience
  • A proven skill set demonstrating effective communication, planning and organization, sound judgement, follow-up and control, and leadership
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn other software programs (both commercial and proprietary)
  • Associate’s Degree in Business or Accounting, or equivalent experience; HS Diploma or GED required

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$85,000.
