Summary:

Middlesex Orthopedic & Spine Associates is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our team at our Middletown, CT location. We are a growing practice with ample opportunity for career growth. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Job Responsibilities:

Works directly with the Physician and Team to ensure proper scheduling and patient care. Includes monitoring team communication and decision-making.

Main contact for all Team correspondence and patient issues. The point of contact is listed on the website.

Main contact for all phone calls from auto attendant.

Communicates with the team, schedules team meetings as needed, and contacts physicians if needed.

Registers and schedules all patients for Team. Ensures patient record is complete.

Tasks appropriate triage for prescription refills and patient messages.

Schedules patients for the Team via the website, portal requests, and phone calls.

Reschedules patients as needed, works wait list, Relatient chat, and General voicemail box.

Manages Team Physician schedules. Works all admin/triage messages. Works Team orders and Authorizations.

Responsible for Physician chart review to include eligibility, correct appointment types, the schedule is correct, insurance information and referral are complete. Ensures all demographic information is available for appointment.

Covers Front Desk if needed.

Responsible for faxes and correspondence for the team.

Communicates with the entire team including Physicians, PA/APRN, Medical assistants, Surgical schedulers, and administrative support.

Provides excellent Customer service and attention to detail.


IND2

  • 2+ years’ experience in a healthcare-related field, with specific administrative experience required.
  • Able to multi-task, work independently/productively and be efficient in completing their duties.
  • Possess the ability to analyze, retain, and resolve issues and provide superior customer service to the client base.
  • Be organized and cooperative under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to be a team player, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
