The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity is seeking a talented administrative assistant to support the office’s business services team, which includes about 20 state workers. Depending on the team’s needs, the person hired for this position can work in a hybrid on-site and remote work situation. Approximately half to three-quarters of the worker's time will be on-site.

Principal Duties
Provide administrative support to the managing director of business services, including but not limited to:
  • Calendar management
  • Meeting scheduling
  • Meeting and event planning and logistics management for in-person and virtual meetings
  • Travel arrangements
  • Financial reimbursements

Support the business services team by:
  • Coordinating meetings, including arranging meeting logistics for in-person and virtual meetings
  • Transcribing minutes
  • Completing travel arrangements and reimbursements
  • Managing the team’s purchasing card and associated documentation and reporting
  • Working with state-approved translation services for the translation of the team’s collateral materials
  • Additional support as needed

Duties include:
  • Serve as the team’s travel coordinator
  • Support internal policy requirements for travel
  • Prepare travel authorizations and reimbursements
  • Prepare group gatherings
  • Schedule staff events and meetings
  • Provide support for in-person and virtual meetings and events
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes for team members
  • Foster relationships with other administrators working at state agencies and community partners based on project requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Google Calendar, Google Meet, and Zoom
  • Full-time or part-time professional or similar office experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Friendly, personable, and works well with others
  • Organized and process-oriented
  • Ability to multitask
