Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of clerical duties such as filing, record keeping, and copying.
  • Answers the phone and takes messages.
  • Conducts information retrieval and data entry via the computer.
  • Compiles, organizes, and maintains records of business transactions.
  • Competent in handling large sums of cash, checks, and entering credit card transactions.
  • Assists in resolving basic customer issues.
  • Addresses customer complaints and resolves problems as needed.
  • Schedules customer deliveries and pickups.
  • Ability to identify and read sales tickets and furniture labels.
  • Maintains and replenishes office supplies.
  • Performs other related clerical duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic reading, arithmetic, and writing skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to think critically and problem solve.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Internet research.
  • Ability to learn and use a Retail Management System and Warehouse Management System.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an office administrative/support role preferred.
  • Has reliable transportation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
