Job Summary

This Administrative Support Coordinator II position is housed in the Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities (OSRR) within the University Dean of Students Office. The mission of the Office of the Dean of Students (DOS) Office is to serve as a resource for helping students resolve university-related issues and concerns and advance to degree. We are committed to supporting the academic success of students by fostering the development of integrity and problem solving skills; teaching self-advocacy and personal responsibility; and providing students with opportunities to learn and practice the fundamental principles of good citizenship, responsible leadership, and the importance of diversity in a global society. The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities is responsible for acting on behalf of the University President regarding all aspects of student discipline. The Office of Student Rights & Responsibilities receives reports of alleged misconduct relative to Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations, investigates all complaints in order to determine whether University disciplinary action is to be pursued, and determines appropriate university judicial case dispositions and sanctions. Under the general supervision of Director for Student Rights & Responsibilities, the OSRR Office Manager will support all administrative functions to ensure a fair, timely, and accurate judicial process is performed.

Key Qualifications

Ability to maintain all files and information relating to student cases and office matters in a confidential manner.
Ability to work with diverse groups of people in a positive and supportive manner.
Ability to work with students and/or family members with difficult and/or sensitive issues in a calm and professional manner.
Ability to diffuse emotionally charged situations.
Knowledge of Department, Division, University and CSU rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm. Five years of general office support or technical experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience)
Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $46,224 - $60,348 Per Year

Classification Range: $44,172 - $72,408 per year
