Jessup is seeking applications from qualified nursing educators for our BS in Nursing degree program. The faculty will promote and support the mission of the School of Natural and Applied Sciences at William Jessup University by providing quality preparation and delivery of course material, curriculum development and implementation. The candidate must demonstrate proven leadership, and pedagogical expertise, incorporating the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects associated with the dissemination of an exemplary educational process.

These positions are 100% in-person and on-campus.

The pay range for this position is generally: $1800 - $2200 per unit. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, location and high demand disciplines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Teach a specified number of courses per academic year in specialized areas, evaluate and grade students’ work, assignments, and progress, relative to a concept based educational process.
• Work closely with the BSN Program Director and Curriculum Specialist
• Provide student supervisorial oversight when indicated
• Work in a collaborative manner with other colleagues to provide exemplary academics

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

● Assist in the development and implementation of assessment programs, practicums, clinicals, simulation labs and any other related process

● Provide academic and administrative perspectives when reviewing and recommending policies, budget decisions, and advice on hires within the department

QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum)
● A master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution which includes course work in nursing, education or administration.
● Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with at least (5) years of continuous direct care experience
● Preferred - Two (2) years’ experience required as a faculty member in a professional nursing education program and/or higher education administration
● Sound Christian testimony with the ability to integrate faith and learning
● Active, unencumbered registered nurse license, able to obtain license in CA
● Current healthcare provider CPR

● Familiarity with standard technology of application units
● Ability and willingness to work effectively with international students
● Willingness to build and teach fully online courses

Employee's performance shall be assessed, in part, by meaningful progress in their Biblical spiritual formation role. This includes leading class devotions and prayer, leading an SFG (Spiritual Formation Group), or performing other duties consistent with Biblical spiritual formation. The employee shall document their Biblical spiritual formation roles in partial fulfillment of the University Service requirements in their professional development.
