Activities Aide
Hours of Work:
Be flexible to the program. Recreation programs run 7 days a week. There are also scheduled evening and weekend programs.
Physical Demands:
- Sit and walk intermittently throughout the day.
- Help transport residents to and from the programs
- Handle arts and crafts materials.
- Participate in action games, passive, gross motor games, intellectual stimulation, outside programs, field trips, etc.
- Push, pull, bend, lift, and stretch.
The Activities Aide works with the Activities Director implementing programs and group activities which will enable each resident to engage in cultural, spiritual, physical, political, social and intellectual activities within the community in order to sustain and promote an individual’s potential and a sense of usefulness to self and others. Activities shall take into consideration and reflect the age, sex, physical and mental capabilities, interests, and the cultural and social background of the residents.
