Nationwide immigration law firm is seeking an accounting clerk to assist our bookkeeper with general accounting duties as listed below:

Responsibilities:

Records financial transactions

Creates and posts journal entries into the system Keeps track of fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization schedules for current liabilities

Processes invoices and payments from clients Keeps communication with clients (payments, balances due, …)

Creates and maintains spreadsheets to track client important information Transfers data from hard copy to a digital database.

Updates customer information in databases

Verifies outdated data and make any necessary changes to records

Reconciles through different software, platforms and workpapers

Enters data into different computer databases, manages and maintains effective record keeping.

Monitors incoming mail and documents Assists in the preparation of financial statement Eagerness to learn and desire for professional growth

Skills:

Communication skills - Verbal and written Time and data management Organization

Proficient in accounting, mathematics, and computing

Proficient in typing

An ability to work individually and as part of a team Accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Basic research and collection of data skills

Requirements: High School equivalent or Associates Degree

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
