Job Summary
Working as an Accountant, you are responsible for various accounts within the company.
- Assist Unit Directors as needed with accounting and reporting questions
- Update unit contract files for changes in contracts, rates, licenses, etc.
- Resolves various accounting/reconciliation issues
- Month-end accounts reconciliation
- Assists with monthly, quarterly, annual reports, including monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting, report preparation and distribution
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
- Audit and enter vendor invoices and reconcile vendor statements
- Review expense reports for units and regional directors
- Review cash and credit card sales receipts and match to daily sales reports
- Review bank activity and monitor cash and credit card transactions identifying and reporting issues
- Post weekly and monthly journal entries
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Match inventory count sheets to inventory adjustment sheets
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- A minimum of two years of experience
- Accounting experience in foodservice or retail industry preferred, bu not required, foodservice operations experience a plus
- Experience with POS, cash and credit card reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities and relationships
- Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in Excel. NetSuite and SAP a plus
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
