The Work:

As an Account Manager, you will:

  • Act as a support liaison between our brand partners and Walmart ensuring first class communication.

  • Lead forecasting, inventory flow and reporting efforts, including managing SKUs (stores and digital)

  • Lead all new vendor set-up on behalf of our brand partners.

  • Analyze weekly stores sales data and provide strategic recommendations using insights and trend data.

  • On behalf of the brand partner, work with your Sales Manager on executing their multi-channel strategy.

  • Assist Sales Leader with comp shopping and competitive analysis.

  • Create customized style guides, packaging specifications and related Walmart supplier requirements.

  • Build merchandising solutions for our vendor partners, in partnership with Sales Leader and creative team

  • Lead Accounts Payable research for brands, investigating issues & filing disputes as needed (stores only items)

  • Build plans with third party vendors on topics such as: store signage, merchandising, research and in-store training etc.

  • Create a seamless supply flow from brand partner to Walmart (identify 3PL, efficiencies, OTIF, transportation)

  • Constantly analyze brand performance and provide recommendations and execute ways to improve

  • Participation in weekly company product/brand evaluation.

  • Other duties as assigned


Here's what you need:

  • Minimum 5 years combined experience in account management and/or vendor management experience at a leading retailer responsible for driving online sales for the retailer either in a buying, merchandising or marketing capacity

  • Minimum 2 years experience working on the Walmart e-commerce platform

  • Minimum 2 years of Retail Link experience

Bonus points if:

  • Experience building relationships within large organization, such as Walmart

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong business management and organizational skills.

  • Always solution-oriented with strong client & project management experience

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, diplomacy, and decision-making skills with the ability to think creatively

  • Proven ability to successfully develop & delivery both strategy and execution

  • Travel (less than 20%) required.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, communications, or equivalent

For now, all Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only. Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Albany County, NY, California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.

California $54,500 to $131,300

Colorado $54,500 to $113,400

New York - Albany $50,500 to $105,000

New York City $63,100 to $131,300

Washington $58,100 to $120,800
