Job description

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team. These individuals will be responsible for safely manufacturing quality parts in a fast paced environment. Duties include a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to: packaging, banding coils, testing, problem solving, material handling, welding and quality control. The ultimate goal of the Machine Operator is to achieve excellence in all facets of the role; providing the highest quality service safely, while effectively and efficiently increasing profits.

Responsibilities

• Enters set-up code, run code and related comments into work station computer.
• Sets up and adjusts machine to accurately fit specs.
• Runs machine to produce product to proper customer specifications.
• Inputs total piece, finished product, unit and scrap counts into work station computer.
• Directs and works along with other operators to complete set-up procedure and production run in the most efficient time and manner for each order on equipment assigned to operate.
• Performs packaging & material handling duties.
• Provides assistance throughout the production area.
• Performs clean-up activities in production area.
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Follows all quality set-up, run and check out procedures for accuracy and quality.
• Knows, understands, and follows all plant safety rules and policies and procedures.

Skills

• Basic math & reading skills
• Possess good problem solving and troubleshooting skills and safety practices.
• Must be 18 years of age and older.
• Must be able to stand and walk through the required length of the shift (8-12 hours).
• Must be able to perform the physical aspects of the job depending on location requirements.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Candidates must be willing to work a swing (or rotating) shift.
• Candidates may be required to work overtime, double time, and weekends as necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.55 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Overtime

• Antioch, TN 37013: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Machining: 1 year (Required)
