BRCOT is seeking aComputer Integrated Machining/Manufacturing Teacherthat has knowledge of and the ability to instruct the safe use of equipment such as manual and CNC lathes and vertical mills, Protrak manual mills, HAAS mills, OSHA safety training, blueprint reading, precision measurement. Instructor has an industry recognized credential or willingness to gain credentials. Knowledge of and ability to teach industry recognized software such as Solidworks is beneficial as well as experience with 3D printing and welding experience. Instructor must demonstrate coordination with local employers and post-secondary training to prepare trainees for employment or further training.

The intended outcome for all students is to complete the two year program, and earn an industry recognized credential. Additional Qualification Ability to develop a robust training programAbility to develop and deliver effective classroom and hands on curriculumAbility to develop effectivive learning assessmentsAbility to give effective feedback to studentsExccellant presentation, interpersonal and listening skillsMust be able to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in written communicationA strong desire and affinity for teaching others and to understand the critical role this position plays in developing the lives of our studentsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with othersAbility to lift/or move on occasion up to 50 lbs and may be required to crouch, kneel, bend or reach above shoulder heightAbility and willingness to market and recruit studentsResponsibilities: Deliver best in class formal structured curriculum as wellas develop interesting engaging hands on projectsMaintain and develop a robust advisory program committeeBuild and maintain a network of outside resources to assist with training efforts and recruitmentEnforce all OSHA safety regulations within the career education settingDocument student performance, student behavior, and student achievement within the career education settingProvides review and reinforcement of new concepts; support students in the completion of their assigned tasksDemonstrate knowledge of students IEPs, as well as the accommodations and modifications necessary for student success; modify assignments, tests and quizzes in collaboration with special educators, if requiredDevelop resources for students to be successful, such as models, graphic organizers, and copies of class notes, video clips, demonstrations, etc.Collaborate with teachers in academic disciplines to facilitate learning activities that are cross-curricular and project-basedCollaborate with the Cooperative Education Coordinator to place students in their career areaMaintain documentation, including student performance, behavior, progress data, notation of student absences/tardies, and conversations with parents and administratorsIntegrate technology into the curriculumFacilitate student retention and placement through positive student interactionsRespond to any correspondence, both oral and written, that comes from a parent or guardianKeep current with changes in your career area; collaborate with Advisory Boards membersOther duties deemed necessary by the Director of BRCOTHeart of Biddeford, Maine CommunityLocated along the Atlantic coastline with miles of beachesViews of the Saco River to its westLess than 20 minutes south of the Greater Portland AreaLess than two hours north of Boston.Home to a growing population of diverse residentsPicturesque downtownMaine's youngest city with a median age of 29 in the historic downtownThriving economyMany recreational opportunities, including fishing, hiking, biking, public parks, and kayakingEqual OpportunityThe School Department is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
