The Youth Care Specialist (YCS) provides for the physical and emotional needs of the clients assigned to the cottage and facilitates a healthy group living experience.

The Youth Care Specialist (YCS) participates in a multi-disciplinary treatment team in the care of clients in the residential setting. This position reports to the Cottage Life Supervisor.

You'll play a vital role in brightening the futures of children with behavioral health challenges. Whether you’re helping with homework or coaching a game of basketball, you’ll be making a difference!

Great Circle’s Residential Treatment program offers therapeutic services in a 24/7-supervised facility for children and teenagers with acute emotional and behavioral problems.

• Clients range from ages 6–20 years old
• Dealing with acute emotional and behavior issues
• Struggling to maintain safety and stability in a less restrictive environment

WORK SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION:

This position offers a highly flexible work schedule, perfect for individuals enrolled in school, looking for a second job OR to gain experience in the mental health/social services fields!

We are looking for overnight coverage and can be negotiable on the hours if the needs of the program can be met. We have both part-time & full-time positions available.

The pay range is between $15.00-$17.00 an hour, dependent on education and experience.

YOU’LL BE A GOOD FIT IF..

You’re skilled in crisis intervention and decision-making. Have self-awareness, patience, and the ability to work as part of a team. These skills are essential to be successful in this role.

IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children
• Class E Missouri driver’s license and a good driving record are required because transporting clients is an essential function of this position.
