Willapa Behavioral Health is in search of a compassionate, flexible, and self-motivated, well boundaried WISe Family Partner to join our WISe Team. WISe supports children and their families in their community in a least restrictive environment using the Wraparound process. Wraparound works to honor the family voice and choice, identify strengths, build natural supports, and foster self-sufficiency. Wraparound teams provide comprehensive behavioral health services and supports to individuals up to 21 years of age, with complex behavioral health needs and their families. The goal of the program is for eligible youth to live and thrive in their homes and communities, as well as to avoid or reduce disruptive out-of-home placements. Assessment, treatment, and support services are provided in the youth and familys natural setting, where needs and challenges present themselves (such as the home, school, and community). Families report excellent outcomes including, youth/family stability, increased support, and connection to their community and hope for the future.
WISe Family Partner has a strong connection to the community and is very knowledgeable about resources, services and supports for families. The Family Partner utilizes their first-hand knowledge as a caretaker of a child with behavioral or mental health issues, to support and assist parents of children receiving WISe services. The Family Partner draws upon their experiences to help families find hope and make progress towards successful completion of the WISe program. Because of their own life experience, they are uniquely equipped to provide support, encouragement, and resources to those in the WISe program. The Family Partner works in close partnership with the WISe team to provide comprehensive services and support to eligible clients.

  • Schedule 4 10-hour shifts
  • Competitive salary, including pay for performance eligible for Pay for Performance quarterly bonus of $500.00 per quarter, $240.00 wellness initiative, and $500.00 annual for self-development workshops. Training enhancing organizational goals paid at 100%
  • National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program site $50,000 - 2 years service
  • Medical, dental, vision, retirement, health club discounts, four weeks of paid vacation and 12 paid holidays for holidays regularly scheduled to work when office is closed.

Willapa Behavioral Health is an outpatient treatment provider. We are nationally accredited and have provided high quality care with experienced professionals to Pacific County since 1986. Services include mental health programs for adults, children & families, case management, chemical and problem gambling treatments, peer services, domestic violence perpetrator treatment, co-occurring disorders, medically assisted treatment, psychiatric prescribing, trauma sensitive primary care, and 24/7 mobile crisis services. We have grown, to three locations, and feel that that is the sweet spot for us. We do not wish to grow larger as we would like to preserve our unique culture and foster a culture of kindness and family.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Washington State Certified Peer Counselor Certificate from the WA State Health Care Authority or meet requirements for Washington State Certified Peer Counselor certification and have obtained within 3 months of hire date.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Self-identify as a person with lived experience as parent or legal guardian of a child with lived experience with mental health or substance use services.
  • Must practice strong boundaries with the ability to step away when situations are being dramatized or manipulated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer proficiency to document in the electronic medical record (EMR) and utilize telehealth and Microsoft office suite.
  • Undergo and pass criminal background check upon initial employment and any subsequent checks required by the agency.
  • Meet requirements of agencys drug free workplace policy.
  • Excellent customer service with a client focus.
  • Able to sit, stand and move for long hours at a time and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle.
  • Able to drive in daylight, darkness, and typical Northwest weather conditions.
  • Flexible to fill-in shifts if needed.
  • Must work in person
  • Must be fully vaccinated

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated computer competency and time management skills
  • Able to maintain good rapport with co-workers
  • Demonstrate competency in working with a diverse population
  • Demonstrated background of upholding professional conduct and retaining confidentiality of clients information
  • Drivers License that meets minimum requirements by WBH insurance company
