POSITION SUMMARY

Snow Removal Technician will be responsible for upkeep of exterior resort areas. Snow Removal Technicians will work closely with Resort Appearance Manager, Supervisors and Custodial Leads. The primary goal of the position is to ensure the resort remains safe, clean and maintained for all resort guests and employees. This position pays $20.00/hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Maintain pathways around resort, keeping free and clear of ice and snow buildup

• Coordinating with supervisors and shift leads

• Help with daily setup and breakdown of ski racks

• General upkeep of all exterior log spaces

• Prepare reports of daily logs and incidents

• Manage inventory and usage of items

• Willingness to supplement hours with interior staff during periods of fair weather

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Experience: Experience with snow removal a plus

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

• Positive Attitude

• Eye for detail

• Ability to work both independently and/or as a member of a team

• Ability to work weekends and holidays, flexible hours

• Ability to work outside in harsh weather conditions

• Valid Driver’s license with clean record a plus (not required)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Mountain Environment:

• The primary physical environment in which this position works is out of doors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, rain, sun, high altitude, extreme heights, lightning, etc...

• The degree of strenuous activity within the job is considered to be high. Often lifting a weight of 50 pounds throughout the day is common.

• Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.

• Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
