Position Description: · This position will assume a leadership role with the development and promotion of mental health and wellness programs on campus at YSU Campus Recreation. Responsibilities include: · Developing and implementing fitness and wellness programs targeting specific goals · Leading promotion of Mental Health Monday initiative · Creating and maintaining health and wellness handouts and/or other information · Creating monthly wellness tips for fitness and wellness to share on social media channels · Developing the Wellness Resource Center programs and staff · General/daily supervision of the Wellness Resource Center · Monitoring Wellness Resource Center stations · Requiring working wellness & departmental special events· Promoting campus-wide surveys and assessments · Enforcing all Andrews Student Recreation and Wellness Center policies and procedures · Checking e-mail regularly · Obtaining and maintaining current CPR/AED certification · Other duties as assigned
Fair Labor Standards Act Minimum Qualifications
Must be a YSU student in good academic standing (GPA > 2.0), enrolled for a minimum of 6 credit hours, enthusiastic and willing to help others. Must be, or willing to be, certified in CPR/AED.
Preferred Qualifications
Education, Recreation, Sport Management, Exercise Science, Dance, Dietetics, Business, Communication, Nutrition, Health Education, Higher Education, or Human Resource majors preferred but not required.
