SUMMARY
Welds new and repaired parts of various types of steel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Operate all welding and cutting equipment.
• Operate machines set up by a Machinist to perform punching, drilling, sanding, sawing, milling, and other functions as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Maintain applicable records.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years welding experience or training preferred.
• Ability to operate mig, and tig welders is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to operate various machine tools is preferred.
• Ability to become forklift certified may be required as needed.
