Summary
:
BPM is looking for a highly skilled, detail oriented, experienced webmaster to join our passionate Marketing & Corporate Development team. This role is responsible for managing the firm’s web presence, ensuring that our websites are user-friendly and up to date, and safeguarding BPM’s websites. The webmaster will work with the marketing team to expand BPM’s digital presence through enhanced design, updated content, and implementation of new website features that improve the user experience and interaction. The webmaster is extremely knowledgeable in website development, UI/UX design, content management, server management and online security, and have solid coding skills
Responsibilities: How You'll Contribute
- Meet with marketing leadership regularly to discuss current and future functionality
- Contribute to discussions on ways to improve usability and efficiency
- Gather and analyze website update requirements
- Serve as the key contact for all aspects of BPM’s websites
- Monitor security and perform all necessary updates
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and standards, along with applicable state and federal laws and regulations including data security, privacy, and intellectual property laws
- Make all necessary updates to the company site, minimizing downtime
- Update content to reflect current SEO trends
- Repair any broken links and fix any reported bugs
- Monitor and report all web traffic and similar data, identify opportunities to improve SEO, time on site, web traffic, and additional relevant metrics
- Maintain virtual and cloud-based servers, optimizing speeds
- Maintain ADA website compliance
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices and emerging developments in web design, web development, and technology.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience managing websites
- Experience with WordPress
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; master's degree is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of website management, analytics, design, and SEO best practices and standards
- Leadership and/or management experience
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Able to manage multiple websites
- Strong working knowledge of all relevant coding languages (PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS)
- Capable of utilizing web content management systems (WordPress, Sitefinity, etc.)
- Excellent communicator, especially regarding abstract concepts
Other Skills and Knowledge:
- Industry (accounting) knowledge is ideal but not required
- Evidence of continuing education, such as certifications, is a plus
Physical Demands And Work Environment:
- Sitting at desk long periods and working on laptop
- Using multiple monitors
