POSITION: Warehouse Worker Lead DEPARTMENT: Store/Warehouse Operations FLSA:Non-Exempt

NOTE: This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or General Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Warehouse Worker Lead is responsible for:

  • Maintaining inventory control and accuracy through processes and systems set forth by the company;
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service, and a safe working environment.
  • Ensuring smooth workflow and communication between warehouse personnel and management team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, DUTIES AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to use scanners in conjunction with the inventory system; Meet and maintain accuracy and production goals;
  • Accurately retrieve customer orders and place in totes to prepare for shipment;
  • Receive stock, stock shelves, pick orders, package orders, and ship orders;
  • Maintain strong attention to detail and sense of urgency to meet customer needs;
  • Locate customer orders in the event of missing product on shelves;
  • Check merchandise & inventory, inspect for/report damage, and verify counts;
  • Maintain stock/return areas by keeping areas clean, neat, and orderly;
  • Responsible for maintaining familiarity and knowledge of company product line locations, and priorities regarding incoming orders;
  • Ensure all zones are properly staffed by moving warehouse personnel as needed
  • Ensure all zones are following proper picking protocol (loading product, labeling product, removing old labels)
  • Collaborate with management to receive daily goals and projects
  • Oversee that company equipment (scanners, carts, forklifts, etc.) are being utilized safely and properly
  • Elevate any issues (personnel, product, etc.) to Operations Manager
  • Maintain stock/return areas by keeping areas clean, neat, and orderly as well as clean up areas consistently throughout the day;
  • Comply with federal, state, local, OSHA, and company policies, procedures, and regulations;
  • Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism that creates positive customer experiences reflecting well upon the department and the company;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce both individually and as part of a team;
  • Must report any and all injuries/illnesses immediately to supervisor as well as any unsafe working conditions;
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and flexibility;
  • Read company emails regularly and take any necessary action;
  • Maintain consistent and regular attendance and be available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed at times on less than 24 hours’ notice;
  • Perform other duties and/or work in other departments of work location as assigned.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred;
  • Provide a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Driving Record upon request, and maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for all scheduled shifts;
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test;
  • Wear appropriate footwear protection and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Company policy;
  • Acknowledgement of and adherence to all Company policies and procedures as contained within the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver’s Handbooks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted;
  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop;
  • Also required to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch or crawl, talk, speak, and hear.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • May be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and/or vehicles, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration. Noise level may be moderate to heavy.
  • Must have considerable mobility, and able to stand and/or sit for long durations of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
