TerraCycle Regulated Waste (formerly Air Cycle) is an innovative and, driven universal waste recycling company. Our parent company is based in NJ and are best known for their ZeroWaste Boxes which offers a recycling solution for hard-to-recycle materials like cigarette butts, snack wrappers, etc.
We are looking for a full-time Supervisor to participate in our warehouse operations and activities at our North Aurora, IL location. Our Waste Supervisor will oversee our Waste-In and Waste-Out operation by floating between the receiving the area and the sortation line. The Waste Supervisor will work closely with the Production Manager to provide daily direction to the team, while ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

Duties:
- Oversee the training and performance of the team. Direct and supervise the day-to-day activities by monitoring inbound automated scanning, freight shipping/receiving, recycling waste sortation and handling, material consolidation while ensuring program compliance etc. Work closely with the Production Manager to maximize the team’s performance and contribution. Give clear instruction to motivate and direct the workers to meet the company objectives.
- Monitoring of inbound automated scanning, picking full pallets off the line and moving them to designated storage areas, queuing outbound loads for outbound shipment. Strong willingness to be a utility player and help wherever needed.
- Implement company procedures for the sortation, compliance, and consolidation of recycling waste, while enforcing the importance of a clean working environment
- Liaise with managers (on site and offsite) on a daily/weekly basis ensuring effective productivity and planning when new or large recycling programs are launched
Qualifications/Skills:
- 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience, preferably in a related waste management field
- Current forklift certification or forklift experience
- General computer knowledge – Email, working within multiple G-Sheets, automated scanning data into a G-Sheet, etc
- Ability to walk/stand on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long periods of time
