Managing 4 direct reports this role is based in Rhode Island and requires 15-20% travel

Objectives of this Role

· Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with safety and customer service being the primary focus, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational tactics.

· Develop, refine, and implement warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, safety, inventory handling, gate processes, and shipping and receiving processes

· Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and execute operational and tactical processes to meet strategic goals

· Oversee daily warehouse operations across multiple sites.

· Review and prepare workflow, labor and capacity requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and customer service standards are met

· Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

· Proactively seeks new opportunities and challenges; takes ownership and accountability for enhancing results or minimizing problems

· Recruits and retains high-performing talent, sets high standards for performance and ultimately creates a collaborative culture. Supports the growth of others by providing regular feedback, fostering connections, and formulating individualized development plans

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

· Provide leadership for all warehouse operations for Rhode Island, Utah, and third party locations.

· Supervise daily activities of the warehouse sites, including quality assurance, inventory handling, space management, floor productivity, shipping/receiving, and customer service.

· Oversees the daily collection and input of statistical data in support of measuring KPI’s.

· Leads the development of improved work processes and procedures that enhance productivity and effectiveness of assigned work teams, equipment, and space, and is accountable for achieving the incremental results from the implementation of these improvements.

· Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the warehouses, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.

· Meet regularly with warehouse leads and supervisors to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity, loss prevention, safety, continuous improvement, and team development.

Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent professional experience

· 7+ years’ experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees

· Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy

· Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities

· Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of company staff

· Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback

Preferred Qualifications

· Bilingual (English, Spanish)

· Advanced degree in engineering or logistics

· Exposure to ERP/TMS/WMS systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
