Responsibilities:
  • The Maintenance Team Leader will work Full Time Days, and is responsible for a variety of advanced repair, preventative maintenance tasks, and maintenance documentation on various equipment throughout the facility to ensure that all equipment is safe and operational. The Team Leader would also oversee work of assigned maintenance team employees, address minor employee relations within in the team, and assist with planning, preparation of training, and orientation for new maintenance team members.
    • The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for a variety of repair, preventative maintenance tasks, and maintenance documentation on various equipment throughout Bassett Healthcare Network to ensure that all equipment is safe and operational.
    • The Maintenance Team Leader assists staff members on various repair maintenance and preventative maintenance work orders throughout Bassett Healthcare Network to ensure that all mechanical equipment is safe and operational.
    • Performs various work requests to ensure that department/area customer’s facility issues and needs are addressed in a timely and quick manner.
    • The Maintenance Team Leader takes “ownership” of assigned tasks that effectively and positively represents the Facilities/Engineering Services department and ensures completion of work requests and ensures customer satisfaction.
    • The Maintenance Team Leader assists Bassett staff with use and repair of equipment.
    • Assists with new employee training as needed.
    • The Maintenance Team Leader develops material lists for jobs/work, ensuring timely acquisition.
    • Maintains a positive working relationship with job related contacts, such as management, patients, employees, contractors, and vendors in order to improve overall departmental and area performance and to ensure that all job contacts are pleasant and productive.
    • Other duties as assigned by department leadership.
    • The Maintenance Team Leader oversees work of assigned maintenance team employees.

Qualifications:
Bassett Healthcare Network follows the New York State and New York State Department of Health COVID-19 vaccine mandates for healthcare workers. Education:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
Experience:
  • 6 years experience in building trade setting.
  • Has a developed understanding of building systems.
  • Has advanced knowledge of one or more critical systems.
  • Healthcare experience a plus.
  • One year experience supervising and training required.

Physical requirements:
