Warehouse Employee / Driver Class B

The primary responsibility of a warehouse/driver employee is to perform various warehouse tasks resulting in an efficient and effective support to Steiner sales personnel and service to Steiner customers. Specifically, this involves the receipt, storage and protection of inventory, as well as a timely and accurate processing of customer orders.

This position will also have responsibility to drive products to customer sites when needed. and will need a Class B License.

Essential Position Functions:

• Complete assigned order picking, order packing, receiving, shipping and truck loading tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks as assigned.
• Learn to use and complete work utilizing computer equipment as required by the job assignment.
• Deliver customer inventory replenishment orders accurately to the customers stocking locations.
• Act in a responsible, safe manner at all times.
• Communicate in a professional manner at all times.
• Comply with all company policies and work rules.
• Maintain clean and neat work area.

Position Requirements: Education, Knowledge, Training, Experience, Licenses, Certification

• High school graduate (preferred).
• Ability to become forklift certified, preferably previous forklift experience.
• Prior experience working with a computerized system (basic MS excel skills).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to drive a commercial vehicle.
• Experience in inventory control in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Fluent English – verbal and written.

Physical Requirements of the Essential Functions of this Position:

• Stand on concrete surface for extended length of time.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds including large bulky items.
• Bending and twisting motions required.
• Pushing and pulling fully loaded manual pallet jacks, and carts.
• Operate the forklift truck safely at all times.
