Job description

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for data entry for purchase orders, material inventory and assisting with paperwork. This position will also support various administrative duties as assigned for the needs of the H.B. McClure Commercial business daily.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Data Entry
  • Enter and receive material line items to purchase orders, and ensure accurate costs are entered.
  • Work with vendors to get priced packing slips in a timely manner.
  • Process PO Vendor invoices according to terms and conditions.
  • Resolve pricing discrepancies with Warehouse Manager and Vendors.
  • Interacts with Vendors to receive overdue credits on Returns
  • Ability to work independently and accurately with little direction.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent Organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Smart phone skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work with:

  • Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to follow building and department procedures and policies.
  • Cross-train to back up other positions as required
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, completion of G.E.D.
  • Equivalent technical school or work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft
  • Criminal background check required for hire
  • English language skill

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
