Warehouse Clerk:

  • $1500 Retention Bonus for New Hires and Qualifying Rehires
  • Starting At $19.70, progressing to $20.24 at 6 Months ($1 differential for night shift)
  • Benefits Start on the 1st Of the Month Following Your Start Date

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:

  • Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner
  • Be actively engaged, involved, and current in Safe Work Observation (SWO) process; Participate in safety meetings and safety tours
  • Ensure production and warehousing of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Enter data; verify transactions; analyze transaction reports; find, determine the root cause, then correct errors; generate reports by use of the computer; distribute reports.
  • Schedule appointments for incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Assign shipment of materials out of the facility according to DO’s assigned to the department
  • Track railroad cars used within the facility using UPRR website, the railroad data base, and spreadsheets
  • Keep accurate tally of the shuttle board and where trailers are located
  • Assign moves to the shuttle driver between buildings
  • Answer phones, direct calls and or page appropriate person/department
  • Relay information between PIV drivers and supervisors
  • Demonstrate proficiency with MFGPRO eB2.1 (QAD) and SAP
  • Complete purchase order receipt of materials in QAD
  • Understand the bill of landing process and issuing product (QAD) out of the facility
  • Review MWIP, backflush and update
  • Perform month-end inventory
  • Assist PIV drivers with transactions including issue, receipt, transfer of products and cycle counting
  • Maintain all work areas in a clean and orderly manner
  • Develop proficiency of basic other clerk role duties, providing support in those roles when necessary, including:

performing cycle counts on raw materials, WIP and packaging in the Raw Materials Warehouse; Maintaining item types, class codes, and correct descriptions for raw material in database; Maintaining inventory report balance on weekend; and Auditing warehouse locations for negative quantities

  • Once qualified, instruct and train others
  • Fulfill overtime requirements, including vacation and planned absence coverage, as necessary to ensure Warehouse requirements are met
  • Other duties as assigned

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong computer skills with experience with QAD, email, internet, and MICROSOFT programs (Excel, Word, and Access); create new files; Basic office skills (filing, keyboarding, adding machine)
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) / Golf Cart operator license
  • Effective communication skills; Organizational skills and detail orientation
  • Ability to follow verbal or written instructions; Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Successful completion of the interview
  • Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without accommodation. This includes sitting, walking, or standing for extended periods of time up to 12-hours; Lifting to 50 lbs.; Visual acuity and depth perception necessary to operate PIV / golf cart equipment and to read computer screen or other electronic devices; Working in various temperatures & humidity levels
