The Position

As a Warehouse Associate, you'll be a member of the team that cleans and prepares our warehouse space for growing standard-setting mushrooms for the shelves of groceries all around the area. Responsibilities include efficient and accurate receiving, sorting, storing, and outbound shipping of all materials and products on the facility grounds. This is a physically active role which requires a lot of time spent standing, lifting, and completing repetitive tasks.

Working as a Warehouse Associate at Smallhold will expose you to the fundamentals of food safety, quality assurance, warehouse management and more.

The Challenge

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, walkie-stackies, and forklifts to move materials and products throughout the facility grounds.
• Follow all food and safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Perform inbound and outbound and quality control checks of raw materials and packing materials in line with internal Smallhold procedures.
• Validate inbound and outbound materials have been cross checked to the package and description details from the original order, reporting any discrepancies to management.
• Accurately perform inbound and outbound transactions utilizing RF handheld devices.
• Regularly stock and maintain organization of all inventory items in the warehouse.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and report discrepancies to management.

Qualifications

• Comfort with hands-on, physical work and repetitive tasks
• Active forklift certification
• Comfort with standing for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
• Ability to work in a variety of temperature controlled environments between 35-75°F
• Excellent and consistent attention to detail
• A get-it-done, self-starting attitude
• Experience with food safety is a plus
