Summary:
Paint is responsible for prepping, cleaning, and checking for the quality of parts before and after parts travel through the paint line.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prep parts for powder coating or wet painting by cleaning with lacquer thinner and rags
- Hang prepped parts on the paint line
- Apply powder coat to bare metal
- Remove painted parts from the paint line and match parts with the correct documentation
- Identify poor quality parts
- Work at different work stations as production needs require
- Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell
- Maintains work area in clean, safe and orderly manner
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school diploma / GED required
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with hand held tools and other measuring devices
- Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication
- Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team
